Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Chusec, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Purpose of the App

Chusec is a technology platform that connects users, in real time, to a command center. The command center triages each report and alerts the relevant responding authority — including state security corps, the Nigeria Police Force, military structure and the National 112 Emergency Communications Centre — to coordinate an emergency response to incidents such as kidnapping, armed robbery, and other crimes. Chusec is a communications and coordination platform; the physical response is carried out by the responding authority, not by Chusec directly, unless and only to the extent Chusec separately discloses a licensed private-response service in a specific jurisdiction.

3. Eligibility and Minimum Age

You must be at least 16 years old to register your own account. Users below this age may be registered and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

4. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when registering and when raising a report.
• Use the app only for genuine emergencies or legitimate incident reports.
• Do not submit false alarms or use the service with malicious intent. Doing so may result in suspension and, where it obstructs or misdirects a security response, may constitute a criminal offence under Nigerian law.

5. Service Limitations

• Response times vary depending on location, and the availability of responding authorities, none of which Chusec controls.
• Chusec facilitates rapid reporting and coordination; it does not guarantee the prevention of crime, the apprehension of any suspect, or the rescue or recovery of any person or property.
• Chusec is not a replacement for contacting the Nigeria Police Force, the National 112 emergency line, or other official emergency services directly, particularly where the app is unavailable or a direct call is faster.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Chusec, its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from delayed, incomplete, or unavailable response to a report made through the app.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Chusec's gross negligence or wilful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This limitation applies only to the extent the law permits, and no provision of these Terms should be read as attempting to exclude liability beyond what is legally permissible.

Users remain responsible for their own safety and for taking all reasonable precautions while awaiting a response.

7. Third-Party Responders

Where a report is routed to a government security agency, that agency acts under its own authority and operational command, not as an agent of Chusec. Where Chusec separately discloses a partnership with a licensed private security provider for a given area, that provider's own terms, licensing, and liability apply to its personnel and conduct.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Chusec against claims, losses, or damages arising from your misuse of the app, including the submission of knowingly false reports or any breach of these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for misuse, fraud, submission of false reports, or any violation of these Terms, with or without notice, depending on the severity of the conduct.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The State High Courts and the Federal High Courts of all 36 states of Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, without prejudice to any statutory right you may have to bring a claim in another competent forum.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Chusec after a material change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
